The following was wrote by a Lad of 12 Years of Age.
On the Death of his late Majesty King George the Second, who
died October 25th 1760.
  Hear, all ye people! hear,
  The direful sound does pierce my ear,
  The news makes heaven and earth rebound,
  So sad and mournful is the sound,
  That George the Second lives no more,
  No more reigns monarch of the shore:
  George, the generous, and the just,
